I had a wonderful time yesterday afternoon (except for the 94 degree heat) watching my children play in the backyard. I was watching my beautiful son and couldn't help but admire his beautiful, long eyelashes. God has blessed Evan with beautiful, big, dark brown eyes with these black, thick, long eyelashes. I wish I had them. No mascara would be needed!
I have been told so many times that Evan is "too pretty to be a boy." It's often followed by, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't say a boy is pretty." It NEVER offends me though, because I think he is pretty, too, and I think it is a compliment! :)
I love this child! Besides his eyes being gorgeous, they have also been a means of communication between Evan and me. With his language delay, it is hard at times for him to find the words he wants to use. A lot of times, I can look in his eyes, and they tell me everything! They speak to my heart!

What are some of your child(ren)'s features that you especially love?

He truly is a pretty boy, so handsome. And those eyelashes....oh my goodnes.
I love the way you say his eyes speak to your heart. That comes from a Mom who is truly in love with her Little Man..."pretty" Little Man, that is.
Well he is very handsome! He is so precious!
Leigh Ann,
What a beautiful post! I LOVE Evan's long eyelashes. Just gorgeous!!
He really is beautiful, LAH! That is such a great photo of him.
It's not fair when boys get those beautiful eyelashes! He is so handsome! I know you love him so much.
By the way...look at your blog archives. Do you see that number that is beside June? I think yours says 104. That's how many blogs you've posted. There is a number beside each month in 2008 and that's how many blogs you posted that month. So you just passed your 100th blog, too! Congratulations! :)
I shudder to think about all the money I could have saved on eyelash curlers and mascara if I had lashes like that. Your photos are amazing!
I love Dawson's cheeks and his toes...I could kiss both all day long!
Evan IS pretty and I LOVE those eyelashes! I am crazy about the picture you are using at the top of your blog. WOW!
What a precious face! He's going to be a heartbreaker!!!!
Totally floored by your comment on my blog yesterday because Megan, La, and I were SO talking day before yesterday about how we could scheme up a trip to Arkansas!!!! Or maybe meet half way in Memphis?? It's about 5 1/2 hours from Murfreesboro to Littlerock. The wheels are turning now... we just have to work out the details! ;-) So excited!
Love those pictures of Evan. He is a beautiful little boy! I have been reading.. just not commenting. I always seems to be on my way out the door! :)
Have a great rest of the week!
He is a beautiful/handsome little boy!!! I think dark eyes and dark lashes are so pretty! Those are great pictures that you took!
My kids both have really blue eyes, which I love. I also love to look at their little hands and feet.
Your son is so beautiful! Why is it that the boy's always get the long thick eyelashes? I love the bond that you have with Evan, to be able to look in his eyes and figure out what he is trying to communicate takes a very loving and kind mother! He is precious!!!!
I love my kid's freckles on their noses and beautiful eyes! It reminds me of how innocent that they are (even when they are kung foo fighting in the family room! ha ha)
Thanks so much for the encouragement! That really means a lot to me!

I must say that I agree completely...he is pretty! In the last picture he looks a lot like Derrick!
I ADORE everything about Vance! A few of my favorite traits are his curly, red hair, his big, blue eyes, and his little hands.
WE ARE SO EXCITED AND READY TO PLAN A TRIP TO SEE YOU!!!!!
