We had a great weekend. There were no set plans, which is so nice for a change every now and then. Saturday we took the kids to Chik-fil-a. I guess it was kind of for me, too, because I LOVE Chik-fil-a. It all started back when I was pregnant with Ella Grace. I craved it all the time. I at least ate it once week. That may be the reason I was as big as a barn, but she and I sure enjoyed ourselves! Now, I love the food, but even more I love the atmosphere. I love that they play Christian music in the background. I love the little bag that comes with the highchair complete with a Purell wipe. I love how clean it is. I love that Evan can eat there on his wheat-free/dairy-free diet (it is extremely difficult to find fast food that he can eat). I love the super cute senior citizens that float around refilling drinks. I don't know if every Chik-fil-a is like this, but the location we go to is just great! The kids love it, too.
We have started going to a new church a couple of months ago that we are enjoying so much! They even have a service on Saturday nights, which is great for us when Derek has drill weekends, so we can still go as a family. We loved the last Saturday night service we went to so much that we went this Saturday night as well. Ella Grace has yet to warm up to the nursery though. She ended up going to church with us. She was very good, but she was after my cracker during communion! Food does not get passed that girl!
After church, we had our very own reverse progressive dinner. One of my blog friends, Hillary, loves cupcakes. If you haven't read her blog, you should check it out. She is preparing for her wedding, and this girl LOVES cupcakes. However, I always leave her blog craving a cupcake! :) She has been blogging about this cupcake store in our area. It is located in this charming little shopping district, and Saturday night there was a special event and all the merchants were staying open late. So, after church we went by to check it out and it did not disappoint. We got these...
They were very good and very rich. After the weekend, we still had 2 1/2 left. We just couldn't eat them all! They were worth the trip though. Thanks, Hillary. Then, we went to eat pizza. Isn't that terrible!?!? I should mention Derek and I both started eating healthy today. The fun is over. :)
Also, over the weekend, I picked up a baby gift. I didn't realize how much I miss shopping for a baby boy! I thought this little romper was perfect for summer with the little crab on it, and I liked that it is orange and not blue. The matching blanket is lightweight which I think will be perfect for those summer naps! I hope they like it.
Well, that just about wraps up our weekend. I hope you all had a great one. I look forward to reading all about it! Have a great week! Hugs!!!

Yes, we love Chik-fil-a, too, for all the same reasons you do. The cupcakes, girl, look so good! I'm going to stay away from Hillary's blog if she is pushing cupcakes :). Glad you had a good weekend!
Would you believe that I was the total OPPOSITE about Chic-fil-a when I was pregnant with Baby Girl? I couldn't eat it! I would get sick! After I ate it, I would just feel really bad. Didn't seem to stop me OR Alise, though! We eat Chic-fil-a at least once a week, now!! We have one in our mall and it doesn't sound as nice as yours (What? A purell wipe? What's that?)! Ha, ha! Loved the post!
Oh and I LOVED the baby gift!! So sweet!
I love that little romper! How cute!! The little crabs are adorable.
Chick-Fil-A is always good and clean and a great family friendly place to go! I love that they're closed on Sundays and still are thriving!
Perfect baby gift--that's very cute! I love all the pink and blue, but a different color is so nice for a change! I miss buying baby boy stuff, too (well, just baby stuff in general, I guess! I was sad at Kohl's today when I couldn't shop for girl clothes in the 0-12m section anymore!)
I'm also sad that I live in the same town as you and do not know what cupcake place you're talking about!?!? If you would please e-mail me when you get a chance, I will probably go that very day! :) Those look delicious!
Would you believe we've never eaten inside the new C-Fil-A!? We've picked up things from there a few times, but for some reason we've never gone inside! I guess we should--it sounds like a good dining experience for the kids.
Chick-fil-a is one of my favorites. We just got a new one pretty close to our house and it's going to be my downfall. Right now - I'm in love with their lemonade. (it's right across from sonic and I'm afraid my friends at sonic are going to see I'm cheating on them).
Those cupcakes look SOOOOO good!
Sounds like a GREAT weekend!!
We love Chick-fil-a too, very clean and kid friendly. :)
Those cupcakes look SO GOOD!! I don't guess we have a cupcake place around here! I have never ever made cupcakes, how sad is that? It's on my list of things to do this summer with Ethan. :)
I LOVE the baby gift you picked out!! So cute!!
Oh, and as always, your kids look so sweet and adorable. :)
OOO! Chick-fil-a is sooo yum! Those cupcakes sound great!
Dawson has that outfit!! From Gymboree!! Were we twins at one point?? Sisters, maybe? AND...I ate Chik-Fil-A at least once a week when I was prego. Chicken nuggets with honey mustard, slaw instead of fries and unsweet tea, please. AND...I'm totally in love with cupcakes. If they were a person, I would date them and marry them. Megan even got me a cupcake cookbook for Christmas last year. Those look so yummy!
I am a sucker for Chick-Fil-A!!!! Web and I just love the waffle fries...how bad is that?! I am looking forward to taking Vance there soon to play =)!
The cupcakes looked delicious!!!! Could you please mail some to La...she adores cupcakes!!!!
P.S. Are you Catholic?
Those cupcakes look FAB! We, too, are once-a-week CFA-goers! I agree with you on all their "pros"- just love it!!!
That baby gift is precious! You have great taste!
LOVE Chik-Fil-A! Thinking of going there tomorrow with my kiddos!
