There's No Place Like Home

I had a FANTASTIC time on my girls' trip to Branson with my sisters (I'll post more on that later). I was SO glad to get home to my wonderful husband and terrific kiddos. I really missed them, and I was glad to be home. It reminded me of the night before I left. TBS was running "The Wizard of Oz" all weekend, and Ella Grace watched some of it for the first time. She LOVED it. I thought she might get scared of the flying monkeys. Honestly, they still creep me out, but she wasn't scared. She was busy looking for Toto in every scene. LOL! Evan didn't care for it much. I guess maybe that is more of a girl movie???

Here she is front and center.

I can't wait to write about our trip. We had THE best time ever. I totally scored on some very good shopping. When I got home, look what was waiting for me.

I got the market tote I ordered from Faith. How cute is that? I've heard it is "life changing," so I'm expecting big things out of my new lime green friend. Ha! I think this is going to be fantastic to carry all of the potluck dishes I'll be taking all over the place during the holidays. If you need a personalized gift (or if you are like me and just want to buy yourself a gift...hee hee) and have not visited Faith, I highly recommend you jump on over to see her. She can do anything. She has even made a couple of things for me that are not on her site. She is SO good!

It is so good to get away sometimes, but there is nothing like going "home." :)

Oh, and look who was in the paper on Saturday...my hunky husband pumping cheap gas. He was on the front page. Hee hee. He was thrilled let me tell you. Ha!

Oh, I just LOVE the Wizard of OZ and now I am so glad that Alise likes it, too. The witch and the monkeys do tend to creep her out, though.

Way to go Derek! He's a celebrity!!

I cannot believe I did not recognize Derek in that picture! I distinctly remember looking at it in the paper this weekend! How sad. That means I have not seen him in too long.
So glad you had a good time this weekend! I know what you mean about being glad to get home. I can be so glad to get away and then I miss them almost immediately.

I had gotten behind on reading blogs and I'm so sorry I have missed yours! I'm sorry you had a bad week earlier. But I'm so glad it is getting better for you.

I'm trying 5 new recipes this week at home and I'm copying yours off to try within the next 2 weeks. That soup sounds delicious.

I too am so thrilled for Christmas this year. I'm never prepared until after December 10th or so. But this year I have over 2/3 of the shopping done! Yippee!!!

I'm so sorry I've been absent commenting on your blog. Even though I wasn't commenting, I was reading! I'm happy you had a good time in Branson. That tote is so cute! Very fun. I'll try to be better at commenting now that I'm back to blogging again!
