Invitations

I love, love, love stationery, note cards, and invitations. Love them! I'm steadily working on Ella Grace's party, and I'm making the theme around her little doggie dress. I have been looking for invitations, but I haven't really found any that had dogs on them that looked girly. That was until Monday when I went in the cutest paperie store and found these...

A little girl princess dog in a pink dog carrier. Well, that's just perfect for my Ella Grace!

I brought them home and printed them myself. I had the best time putting them together and adding the embellishments. It reminded me of paper dolls. Did any of you like paper dolls? I haven't even thought about them in years, but I loved them. Just another activity I get to look forward to doing with EG. I know she will love them, too.

Now, I just have to decide on a menu and get pink and brown decorations (which shouldn't be hard to find). I love my childrens' birthdays. However, it is a bittersweet time for me. I am so happy to watch them grow and celebrate the day I was blessed beyond measure, but a part of me is also a little sad at how quickly time passes. I guess all moms feel this way.

I always want to make their birthdays a big deal. Part of that is because my birthday is the day after Christmas, and although my parents did their best to make it a special day for me, I kind of missed out on getting to have parties and having my day separate from Christmas. I want Evan and Ella's birthdays to be memorable to them and special.

I can't believe in less than two weeks, little Miss Ella Grace will be two!

Those are cute!!

I love invitation too! We started a tradition (didn't really mean to though) where the girls' birthday invitation is their picture. I'm working on their 4th (GASP!) one right now actually. I'll have to post it when I'm done :)

You love bunco. It is so much fun to laugh and visit with other ladies you may not see as often.

I LOVE these Leigh Ann!! I am a nut for stationary and note cards and pretty paper too! Kevin thinks I'm absolutely nuts, but that's okay, lol! You are so lucky to have a little girl to celebrate!! Congrats on Ella turning 2, though I know what you mean about it being bittersweet!

Those invitations are so cute. I had a "dog themed" party for my daughter a couple of years ago. She loves dogs. I made her cake and used the "littlest pet shop" toys as toppers. It turned out so good. I can show you pictures if you are interested. We also made homemade "puppy chow" and I served it to the kids in dog bowls. It was a hoot!

Very cute!

I loved paper dolls when I was a kid, and my girls love them too! I bought them some at Michael's this summer, and they came with templates and a pad of scrapbook paper for them to "design" the clothes and cut them out. Keeps them occupied for hours and is highly creative. LOVE that!

Those invitations are JUST PERFECT!!

I love to get a "theme" and just go with it!

Paperdolls were really big in the 50's. I had some "I Love Lucy" paperdolls from the local dime store. (Ask your mothers)

Those invitations are adorable! I like to make birthdays a big deal, too. I always had big parties for my kids when they were little.

I LOVED paper dolls when I was little. I used to have Flatsy Patsy paper dolls and loved those! :) Now, I'm like you...I love notecards and stationary!

Those invitations are just so sweet. EG is so blessed to have a Mom that loves her so much. I feel exactly the same about my boys' birthdays - although they think they're too old to be fussed over now. Being one of eleven, birthdays were the one day of the year that we sort of had special attention. Your children will remember all the love you've poured into all their special moments!!

Those are the sweetest invitations I've ever seen! You should frame one and put it in her big girl room. I can't believe EG is 2...time passes so fast.

First let me say that I am so thrilled that the most adorable dress that I sold you was the center point for her whole adorable birthday party! I was going to suggest the dog chow party food, but you can also make cookies shaped like dog bones with pink icing. Hope that the party is fantastic, and even if it isn't she will look too cute and that is what matters! Also, please send me pictures so that I can forward them to Kelly's Kids to post on their website.

Cute Invite! I am an invitation lover too. I had fun with my son's birthday recently, but those girl invites can just be dressed up so much cuter!
