She's a Dipper; He's a Streaker

Ella Grace is a fan of condiments. She loves anything she can dip her food in...honey mustard, ranch dressing, or her favorite, ketchup. Derek took us to eat Mexican food Sunday night and the girl put some hurt on some cheese dip. Actually, that is all she ate. I loved her concentration as she dipped her chip and then ran it across the side of the bowl so it didn't drip. I made some smaller chip pieces for her and put them on a napkin, but she was having none of that. She wanted the big chips. I guess as it should be. She is a big girl after all, as she now refuses to sit in a high chair at restaurants.

Evan has had THE best time with this Mickey Mouse sprinkler my mom and dad got him for his birthday. The other night, he was running and jumping through the sprinkler and then going to his trampoline to jump around and then back to the sprinkler. Well, when he was finished with the sprinkler, Derek put it away and came inside (I was out buying school supplies). After a few minutes, Derek looked out to check on Evan, and Evan was butt naked jumping on the trampoline. I guess his wet swimsuit was slowing him down. :) We have a privacy fence, but our neighbors sure would have gotten a sight as he jumped up, as you can see him over the fence. He was having the biggest time out there jumping around in all his glory! We didn't take a picture of his streaking. Nobody needs to see all that. Ha!

I had to include this pic, too. I sure wish I was this cute in a bikini! EG is not big on the sprinkler.

I'm with Ella Grace, big chips for me too! Cortney said the other night they had cheese dip and Cade through a fit because he wanted the whole bowl in front of him. HA!! Evan looks like he had a great time with his sprinkler and you know his wet swimsuit was totally slowing him down! HA!!!!!

Ella Grace is a girl after my own heart... chips and dip are my fave! My son, Tyler, when he was about her age loved ketchup. He'd dip a french fry over and over again and lick it off until it was mush. It was hard to get him to actually eat the fry.

Oh, to be a child again and feel free enough to just peel off the britches if they're bothering you!

I wish I would've had a blog to capture all my kids' moments... you're gonna be so glad you have blogger!

EG and Joseph would do well on a picnic together...as they both appear to be natural born dippers! I used to think Joseph took after his daddy (as he still likes to dip), but I think it has more to do with their age. Streaking seems to happen a lot in our neighborhood...and who can blame them when it's sooo hot outside!!

My Evan is a dipper too! He is a pretty picky eater, but we figured out if we give him something to dip his food in he will gobble it right up! Such cute pictures!! My boys love their sprinkler too! I just love summertime :) By the way I wanted to thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving such a sweet comment!! I added you to my blogroll if you don't mind!

What is it with boys just getting naked in the middle of the back yard? I guess boys are never REALLY that modest :).

Mmmm...I LOVE dips, too.

Your kids are so cute! I love that Ella Grace is so particular with her dipping. And hey, one of my kids orders cheese dip as an entree every time we eat mexican food.

I've been so behind on blog reading lately, but that picture of you and your sister when you were little? Well, EG looks SO much like you!

Me and EG would get along just fine!! We could both sit there and just eat ourselves silly on the cheese dip! :)

I wish I could have seen Evan on the trampoline! Haha

You have two cutie patooties!!

Ella Grace is just like me, I love condiments and dips, too. Yum! My parents found a great honey mustard dressing called O'Charley's that you should try. That story about Evan is hilarious!

Hahahahaha! That's hilarious about him jumping in the buff! When I water my flowers in the evening, Amelia always manages to finagle herself into the water...and she always ends up completely stripped down. It's just so cute and innocent seeing her running through the grass like that...free as a bird!

And little, er Big, Miss EG looks so cute dipping the big chips. I'm all about some of that cheese dip, too! Siggghhh...I, too, wish I could look cute in a bikini like that... She's darlin'!! I love her twirly curls! ;o)

Love EG eating chips - she is my kind of girl!
And that's hilarious about Evan!!!
Jacquie is right - it's so great to have a blog to record all the great moments of the kids -so much better than any scrapbook! They will love reading this one day when they are grown!

Oh I know Evan had a ball in that sprinkler! How much fun! Ella Grace looks so cut in the bikini and I think it's so precious to see her dip her chips! When I am with my nephew at a mexican restaurant, he takes over the cheese dip! HA!

Your kiddos are so cute! Chips and queso dip are my favorite, too! And, I don't know what it is about boys and being naked. My son was the same way! Too funny.

Crackin' me up, girl! First, that last picture of EG was adorable... pink polka-dotted bikini, a must have for a girlie girl like her! :-)

You know I love me some cheese dip when I am having mexican food - add that to the list of things me and EG have in common! lol.

And Evan streaking - hilarious! I guess he just needed a little more "freedom."

What a fun back yard you have, trampolines, sprinklers, ... your kids will always be thankful and have such great memories of their times spent playing in the back yard on hot summer days! You're such a great mom!

What a GREAT post! EG is so adorable in her little bikini ;)! I love that she is so meticulous with her chips and dip...a girl after my own heart!

Evan has the right idea! Sometimes clothes are just too confining! It sounds like he has a FABULOUS backyard to cool off in during these hot, summer days!
