The Blogging Connection

I just love blogging. I have made so many new friends I probably would never have met otherwise!

A while back, I met Becky. She and her daughter are friends of my friend, Jill. One day before Derek and I left for the mall, I had been on Jill's blog and visited a link to Cortney. Well, that afternoon at lunch at Chik-fil-a, guess who we sat by...Cortney and Becky. I told them I thought I knew them from blogging and sure enough we all recognized each other. I have been keeping up with them through their blogs and last night ran into Cortney at Target. I also got to meet Becky's other daughter Casey, who I felt like I had already met anyway because I had read about her. Ha! Becky and her girls are SO sweet and I'm so glad I got to meet them. Plus, I had been in this dilemma about if Evan was too big to have his backpack monogrammed this year for Kindergarten. Thank goodness Cortney helped me solve my dilemma right there in Target since she has one starting Kindergarten, too. We both agreed they are not too big for monograms! :)

Today, I went over to Jamie's house for a Chez Ami clothing party. I "met" Jamie first through blogging. She was a friend of Kelly's. Then, I happened to run into her at a restaurant one evening and recognized her right away from her blog! Since then, we have emailed some and hope to get our kids together soon for a playdate. She is also SO sweet and has the cutest little kids ever. I'm so excited about the outfits I got for Evan and Ella Grace for Fall. They will probably end up on a Christmas card! :)

I got this shirt for Evan with his monogram. I thought I could get away with this one without Derek freaking out too bad. Derek did not like it one bit when I put Evan in a Peter Pan collared shirt for his first Christmas. That is a whole other post. :)

I got this jumper for EG with her monogram in brown (instead of the apples) and the little striped turtleneck. I did not get the tights though.

I got this sweater for Ella Grace in pink with lime green monogram of "EG" on it, of course.

Ella had the best time at Jamie's because there were a lot of other children there. I snapped this picture of EG and A, Jamie's daughter. They were both pretty excited about seeing Barney. Thanks so much for having us, Jamie. We had a great time and I can't wait until Fall to dress E and EG in their new duds!

Shopping for clothes for my kids is my favorite thing to do! I love to plan outfits for seasons and holidays. How about you? Where are your favorite places to shop for the little ones in your life?

OH I love that you and Jamie are getting to know each other! And EG and Alexee are about the same age and look so cute together!
Those outfits are TOOOOOOO cute! Of course I love anything monogrammed (I'm trying not to get any more monogrammed things until I at least know what it actually is! ha!) I can't wait to see pictures of E&E in their new outfits!
P.S. if we have a little boy - i am totally putting him in little smocked rompers and john johns and peter pan collared outfits as long as I can. Scott won't like it - but I won't be able to resist.

Blogging connections are wonderful! When W. was little I was a huge fan of Baby Gap. Maybe even too big of a fan because when he was 3 I came home from one of our department stores with a bunch of clothes. He took one look at the bag and said, "Those aren't from Bab Gap." Ha!

I am SOOO glad you came today!!!! I just wish we could have visited more, but it was just too crazy at the time! :) It was a fun morning. It was great to see you, and I'm really happy that you found some things that you liked for your sweet kids--they're going to look adorable in those outfits! (I actually did the lime green and brown coordinating for R & A, too!) Thanks again for coming!

Oh, please don't tell me there ever comes a time that you are too big for a monogram!

I like Target for just casual, cute boy clothes!

I'm glad you answered the answer about the monogram on the backpack. I was just thinking of that today although I told Hayden he could pick out his own backpack so we will probably end up with something Spiderman :o)...no monogramming on that :).

Leigh Ann-those outfits are adorable!! I love little monogrammed things...especially for girls! My husband was the same way about "girly" clothes on little boys! But when they are really little, you can get away with it!

I love Children's Place clothes and there is a cute little store here called Chocolate Soup that has adorable things for kids! I used to go to in-home parties for monogrammed and personalized clothes, but it's been so long ago, I can't remember the names of the brands! (That's just sad!)

Love, love, love the outfits!! You and I share the same tastes in clothes, Leigh Ann!

My personal favorites for Alise are Orient Expressed, Hanna Andersen, CDW Kids, Strausburg, Katie Mack, Kelly Kids, & Rosalina. Yep, that about sums it up! Those are the places my paychecks usually go! Oh, yeah! And then, there's Gymboree, too!

I'm pretty new to blogging, so I'm loving all the people connections. Kelly is our preacher's daughter (and one of my children's babysitters), and Jamie is the daughter of my (I won't say old) previous boss plus she worked with me a couple of summers in high school and she also babysat my boys when they were little. (You'll love getting to know Jamie, she is the sweetest!) Becky and I are becoming "friends" through bloggyville, too. I feel like I'm getting to know a bunch of new people!

The little outfits are so cute. Makes me start to think about grandchildren, since 44 is probably a little late for child #3.

How fun making blogging connections!!!! I never thought I would meet new people blogging, I just wanted a way to keep up with family and existing friends! How blessed I feel to have "connected" with you (soon to meet - yay) and to have met so many other wonderful women! It really is neat!

Okay I love, love, love the cute things you picked out for E and EG! And IF I had kids and they were as striking as E and EG, dressing them up would be my favorite thing to do too! :-)

Love all of the outfits. It is so funny, somehow I ended -up on Beckys blog and come to find out that she and my husband are both Dallas based for Southwest Airlines. She seems like a really neat lady.
Is it really hot in Arkansas? This is the 16th day of over 100 degrees here in North Texas. Hope yall have a blessed weekend.
