So Long, Ernie

As I am running Ella Grace's bath water, she is behind me with one of her favorite toys, a stuffed "Ernie." I hear her say, "poo poo." I turned around and this is what I saw...

I guess she was helping Ernie to the potty. She seems to be quite fascinated with the potty and often tells me when she goes (or when anyone else goes for that matter). Is it too early to potty train at 17 months? I don't want to rush it, but the interest is definitely there! Poor Ernie. She still calls his name. It's kind of sad!

Awe, Ernie. That is so funny. I hope she doesn't start putting other things down the toilet--and flushing it.

Oh my goodness! That is hilarious!! Poor Ernie. Ha! Ella always puts her babies or stuffed animals on her little potty, so no water. :) When Ella started saying poo poo everytime she walked by the bathroom and was interested in what everyone else was doing in there, I drug out the potty. I would just let her sit on it before bath or whenever she wanted. I don't know how old she was, but it has been awhile ago. You could try and see. :)
Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog. I wish we lived closer too. I know you would be lots of fun to hang out with and our kids would LOVE playing together. :)

Ha! That's great! Poor Ernie! I'm not a mom but I say "why not?!" If she's curious it doesn't hurt to just let her get used to a potty or something. Hopefully this is a good sign of things to come.

If she shows an interest I say let her give it a whirl! There is no right age for potty training really! Just so they learn before high school! Ha ha

That is so cute! It would not hurt to get the potty out and let her get used to it.. but one thing that really, really helped us is watch in the mornings and when she starts waking up dry.. she is definitely ready! That shows that she had good "bladder" control! ha! :) Ella Grace is growing up too fast!!!
